Although New Jersey missed the deadline set by regulators to launch adult marijuana sales in the state on February 22, governor Phil Murphy predicted this week that the launch time is not far away. According to NJ Com reported that Murphy said on the radio program: "within a few weeks, you will see the hidden trend of medical marijuana pharmacies, some of which can sell entertainment marijuana products." However, the New Jersey marijuana Regulatory Commission (CRC) has yet to approve the sale of recreational marijuana in any of the state's 23 operating medical marijuana pharmacies - in part because the agency is waiting for a signal from local authorities to approve adult business.
