New York State has approved 36 recreational marijuana cultivation licenses

The New York marijuana regulator approved 36 more conditional marijuana cultivation licenses and added a list of growers approved to start a new adult marijuana use. It is reported that the total number of licensed growers has reached 88, and plans to review about 100 applications soon. So far, the state's regulators have received about 200 applications for marijuana cultivation, which will then be subject to background and compliance checks. Conditional permit holders can start growing marijuana outdoors or in greenhouses with up to 20 artificial lights. These permit holders must apply for formal permits by June 1, and the temporary permits will expire on June 30, 2024.
