On June 16, 2021, the inaugural issue of molecular horticulture was launched. It is a new horticultural journal jointly published by Shanghai Jiaotong University and Springer nature group.

Correctly handling the relationship between conventional horticultural planting technology and molecular biology technology is the basis and development direction of sustainable, healthy and efficient horticultural production.
