Mississippi's medical marijuana regulator last week opened a permit application process for growers, processors, testing agencies and transporters, but sales may not begin until the end of the year. There is no upper limit on the number of licenses issued, but the law allows municipalities to opt out. Mississippi law allows patients to purchase about 3 ounces of marijuana per month, and limits the THC level of big fried dough twist to 30% and the level of concentrate, oil and tincture to 60%. State regulators said they would start accepting pharmacy applications on July 1. Mjbiz overview in 2022 predicts that the sales of Mississippi Medical Marijuana market will reach US $265million in the first year and US $800million in the fourth year.
