Ethiopia's capital daily reported on September 29 that the Ethiopian Institute of Agriculture recently announced that the Institute is conducting research on modern mushroom cultivation technology in its holleta Research Center, so as to provide relevant technologies and promote the commercialization of mushroom products. Many Ethiopian universities and research institutions, including Addis Ababa University, participated in the research project. The project has cultivated trial products, and can provide cultivation technology training at the same time.
At the initial stage of the project, the research object is the main imported strains in Ethiopia, so as to promote planting, replace imported mushrooms and save foreign exchange expenditure. The project will study the traditional strains cultivated in Ethiopia.
