Canadian cannabis retail sales shrank to $347.2 million in January

According to the latest data from Statistics Canada, regulated retail sales of adult marijuana in Canada totaled C $347.2 million ($275.2 million) in January. The January sales figures were 2.1% lower than December's retail marijuana sales of $354.8 million and 24.2% higher than January 2021. Sales in Ontario, Canada's largest provincial cannabis market, increased by 7.6% in January from December to C $137 million, accounting for 39.5% of the country's total monthly sales.
