Canadian producer Heritage Cannabis has received approval to import medical CBD products into Brazil. The approval comes from the Brazilian Health Agency (ANVISA), according to a press release Monday. CEO David Schwede said in a statement, "This is a very important step as we continue to expand the coverage of our high-quality products outside of Canada." "With a large population and a very healthy market outlook in Brazil, we are well positioned to capitalize on our early market entry and take advantage of the many opportunities in the CBD product space." The company did not specify the quantity or value of any upcoming shipments to Brazil. heritage said two additional products are awaiting final approval from ANVISA. heritage is headquartered in Toronto and has two licensed manufacturing facilities in Canada. It is traded on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol CANN.
