A survey released by datagro on Friday showed that Brazilian farmers were ready to expand soybean planting area for the 15th consecutive year, supported by strong demand. Datagro said that in 2021 / 22, the soybean planting area of Brazil, the world's largest soybean producer and exporter, is expected to increase by 4% to 40.57 million hectares (100.2 million acres).
Brazil's soybean production in the next season is expected to reach 440.6 million tons, and farmers will start planting around September. If confirmed, next year's output (harvest from the end of the month) will be 5% higher than the estimated output of 136.96 million tons in 2021.
