Uzbekistan's detailed website reported on the 29th that according to the data of Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association, the sown area of cotton in Ukraine in 2021 was 1.03 million hectares, with a total harvest of 3.4 million tons of cotton, making it the sixth largest cotton producing country in the world.
At present, Ukraine has established 122 cotton and textile clusters, and the cotton output per hectare has increased from 24 BTU per hectare (50.8kg per BTU) at the beginning of independence (September 1991) to 26.5 BTU. The cotton planting income has increased by 12% year-on-year, reaching more than 400 billion Sumu (US $37.7 million). Cotton farmers have made more than 200 billion Sumu (US $18.8 million) profits only by selling high-quality raw cotton.
