A court in Texas dismissed a lawsuit filed by Canadian marijuana producer canopy growth against GW pharmaceuticals. The complaint was originally filed in the Western District Court of Texas at the end of 2020, accusing GW of deliberately using canopy's patented marijuana extraction method to extract CBD used in its drug epidelex. GW is headquartered in the UK and was acquired by jazz pharmaceuticals in 2021. According to the annual financial results released on Tuesday, epidiolex had net sales of $463.6 million in jazz's fiscal year 2021.
