Marijuana has become part of the hype and uproar before Sunday's Super Bowl. The National Football League announced this month that it would allocate $1 million to medical researchers at the University of California, San Diego and the University of Regina in Canada to study the effects of cannabinoid on pain management and concussion neuroprotection. In a press release announcing the studies, NFL chief medical officer Dr. Allen sills said the studies "may find data-based evidence that may affect the pain management of our players". This evolution is a blessing for many NFL players.
