Peru's avocado exports hit a record

On September 13, Peruvian Minister of foreign trade and tourism Sanchez said that as of July this year, Peru's avocado export reached US $949 million, an increase of 47% over the same period in 2020 (US $645 million) and 14% over the annual export in 2020 (US $834 million). The new historical record benefited from increased investment and rising prices in major international markets. Peru's goal is to become the world's largest exporter of avocado.
