Drip irrigation delivers water directly to the plant roots, minimizing water loss through evaporation or runoff. Fogging systems create a fine mist that saturates the air with moisture, allowing plants to absorb water through their leaves, which can further reduce water consumption.

  6. Climate Control: Vertical farms provide precise control over environmental factors, including temperature and humidity. By maintaining optimal growing conditions, plants can thrive and transpire efficiently without excessive water loss. This controlled environment minimizes the need for additional water to compensate for environmental fluctuations, thereby saving water.

  7. Use of Water-Saving Techniques: Vertical farming encourages the adoption of various water-saving techniques. These may include employing water-absorbent materials like coco coir or using mulch to reduce evaporation. Additionally, incorporating water-saving measures such as rainwater harvesting or the use of gray water for irrigation further enhances water conservation efforts.
