Connecticut received more than 15000 applications for marijuana retail licenses

The Connecticut marijuana regulator received more than 15600 applications from marijuana retail entertainment stores before the deadline last week. The state also received 1896 small-scale cultivation permit applications, limiting cannabis cultivation to 2000-10000 square feet. Other marijuana business licenses will also be provided, including distribution, injection products, packaging and transportation. Connecticut officials say adult marijuana stores may open by the end of this year.
