The Canadian government will unveil the first step in a review of its cannabis legislation, Health Canada announced Wednesday. Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos and Mental Health and Addictions Minister Carolyn Bennett will outline the mandatory review of the legislation signed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, which entails examining the impact of cannabis legalization on the health and consumption habits of young people, as well as the impact of cannabis on First Nations and communities. A report will be presented to Parliament upon completion of the review.
