Aurora cannabis, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, delivered the largest batch of medical marijuana ever to the rapidly expanding Israeli market. Israel is one of the few meaningful medical marijuana import markets. According to the latest official data of the Ministry of health, there were 108013 active medical marijuana patients in Israel as of November 2021. In contrast, as of March last year, there were 292399 active customers registered in Canada, although some were considered to be duplicate because patients can be effectively registered with multiple manufacturers.
