Analysts have cut the sales forecasts of the three Canadian marijuana producers by hundreds of millions of dollars in 2022, reflecting the increasingly fierce competition in the industry, the decline in overall prices and the poor implementation of some executive teams. The lower expectations for these producers are partly due to the loss of market share to smaller, more flexible competitors last year. According to hifyre, a marijuana analysis company, the estimated market share from October to December is: tilray 11.7%, down from about 15% in the previous quarter, canopy 8.6%, down from 10% in the third quarter, Aurora 2.8%, down from 3.7% in the previous quarter.
